The role of sustainability at IKEA franchisor is to make sustainability an integrated part of the IKEA Concept and ensure its successful implementation in new and existing markets.
To lead with the direction; People, society and planet positive meeting with the customer and support the strategic sustainability development agenda at Core Business Franchise. All to enable development and movement of the IKEA business to fulfil the sustainability ambitions and commitments.

Your key responsibilities:
Work closely together with peers across the totality of Franchisor and Inter IKEA Group to develop sustainability dimensions of IKEA franchise offer.
Perform Franchise Offer gap analysis towards sustainability wished position.
Define and lead sustainability projects and topics that support the Franchisor sustainability agenda to close the Franchise Offer gaps.
Together with peers develop the sustainability framework both conceptual and business requirements for all markets and assignments.
Coach and support leaders and specialist to lead with sustainability lenses in planning, developing and delivering sustainability content in the most effective, engaging and inspiring way.
Lead and develop explorations and projects connected to the strategic development of sustainability in IKEA.
Provide quality and speed stepping into urgent topics requiring sustainability expertise and development
Contribute to increase the knowledge of sustainability across Franchisor and how it contributes to create business growth for IKEA long term on all markets
What do you bring with you:
In depth knowledge and experience in the sustainability development field
Knowing how to contribute with sustainability expertise in projects with cross functional stakeholder management.
Good understanding of sustainability and home furnishing business
Good understand of how the sustainability agenda impact through business and people.
Broad understanding of IKEA business idea, organization and ways of working, with sustainability experience
Knowledge of how to balance and merge environmental, social and economic aspects to define sustainability as an integrated part of the IKEA Business.
University degree in sustainability, proven advanced training in sustainability, or relevant senior working experience
Minimum 5 years of senior experience from working with strategic sustainability.
Proven experience of working with sustainability development and deployment with high interdependencies.
Proven experience from stakeholder engagement
Proven experience of enabling successful change and realizing business benefits with leaders.
This is a full time role (40 hours per week) located in Delft, the Netherlands or potentially in Malmö, Sweden. You will report to the Franchisor Sustainability Manager.
