The Data and Analytics team leverages the power of data, analytics, and cognitive technologies to uncover hidden relationships from vast troves of data, generate insights, and inform decision making leading to a better experience for our customers and employees.
As a Data Science Chapter Lead, you'll serve as the chapter lead for the data scientist competence chapter, including leading, coaching and developing the chapter members. You’ll perform predictive and prescriptive modelling and develop and deploy artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms to reinvent and grow the IKEA business in a fast changing digital world.
What you'll be doing day to day
'-Responsible for exploring and examining data, for use in predictive and prescriptive modelling to deliver insights to the business stakeholders and support them to make better decisions -Influence product and strategy decisions by visualisation of data and enable change through extensive knowledge of the business drivers that make the product successful -Manage modelling projects, identify requirements and build tools that are statistically grounded, explainable and able to adapt to changing attributes -Develop and deploy different analytical building blocks that support the requirements of the capability area and customer needs -Use root cause research to identify process breakdowns and provide data through the use of various skill sets to find solutions to the breakdown -Work closely together with other data scientists and cross functions to produce all required design specifications and ensure that data solutions work together and fulfill business needs -Updating the common Group Digital site on standards and methods when necessary to ensure alignment across Group Digital -Functional lead for a team of junior data scientists -To serve as the lead for the data scientist competence chapter, including ensuring appropriate HR support and that trainings are held, developing criteria for skill assessing chapter members as well as to lead, coach and develop the chapter members, promoting best practice in data science and continually benchmarking against industry standards -In close cooperation with Product Managers and group People & Culture, hire new co-workers for the chapter when capability areas express need for people -Work across initiatives within INGKA Group, steering towards data-driven solution
Requirements -Proven advanced training in (computer) engineering, computer science, econometrics, mathematics or equivalent -Minimum of 7 years of experience as a data analyst or scientist -Extensive knowledge in large datasets and distributed computing architectures -Extensive knowledge in coding (R and/or Python) and development of artificial intelligence applications -Experience in statistical analysis and statistical software -Experience in data processing and –analysis -Demonstrable experience in working in an Agile or DevOps working set-up -Strong documented leadership skills -Preferred: Experience in software engineering -Preferred: Knowledge of IKEA Brand, culture, values and way of working
Salary Range: $131,465-$195,512
