Core Operations Leader - Ingka Centres

Your focus will be on the 2 sites and to create a safe, secure and attractive place to visit and work at for our customers, coworkers and partners.

We believe you are experienced within Safety and Security, and you have worked with creating and implementing tactical plans and follow up in a customer focused and fast-paced environment. You have knowledge about working with projects and facility management.

You are a self-driven leader, and a true team player. You communicate in a clear and straightforward way and have ability to build strong relationships. Collaboration and cooperation with colleagues, tenants, partners and stakeholders comes naturally to you.
You get energy from challenges and see possibilities to find solutions. And of course, you live and share Ingka Centre’s and IKEA’s culture and values.

To succeed in this role, you should be fluent in both Swedish and English, written and spoken.


• Build up overall Meeting Place Risk Management on health, safety and security. Be responsible for developing and upkeeping Health, safety and security related procedures in the Meeting Places and execute all applicable Ingka rules.

• Overall day-to-day safety check, audit and accident investigation; interface with insurance company/independent 3rd party on insurance survey and Regular reporting to country Risk & Compliance function and support annual Health, Safety and Security audit. All this to ensure INGKA standards, Risk Management frameworks as well as legal demands

• Coordinate to deliver training on safety & security to co-workers, tenants and partners. Establish Meeting Place tailored emergency response plan.

• Build strong relationship with relevant stakeholders (external partners) and synchronize efforts and activities where necessary, maintain relations with all the public security authorities of the community (police, fire brigade etc.).

• Secure safe events and activities at the Meeting Place before, during and after.

• Close cooperation with Facility Management team to ensure:
- delivering everyday good Facility Management service
- Secure and follow up requirements connected to the Facility Management area
- continuous performance improvement in sustainability area including energy, emissions and water management, waste management

• Project lead and contribute with competence within big and small rebuilds, improvement and development projects.

• Be responsible for budget planning, execution and follow up on goals within area of responsibility.

As our Core Operations Leader at Ingka Centres you will be a part of the Operations Function. The purpose of the Operations function is to achieve operational results, drive efficiency improvements and enhance commercial performance and brand value of the Meeting Places. Älmhult handelsplats and Kållered handelsplats are 2 of our 44 existing Meeting Places around the world. Together with the Meeting Place Manager you will be responsible of driving the performance and the development of the 2 Meeting Places.

The position will be based in Älmhult with frequent trips to our Meeting place in Kållered, Göteborg. Workhours will be also during evenings and weekends.
Your closest manager will be Susanne Koerfer, our Meeting Place Manager.
